Founded in 1999 by visionary health care leaders with a strong commitment to community, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit operating under Community Health Centers Alliance, Inc.
Recognized for its leadership and expertise in fostering the adoption and optimization of electronic health and dental records among non-profit health centers, our organization was funded as a Regional Extension Center by the Office of the National Coordinator of Health IT in 2010. The Center for the Advancement of Health IT (AHIT) was formed. Through the continuation of this program, we are proud to have served more than 500 physician groups, comprising more than 1,000 practice locations and over 3,000 providers.
